Colleen Hoover Reactivates Instagram, Removes Justin Baldoni & Blake Lively Photos

Colleen Hoover has recently reactivated her Instagram account, sparking curiosity among her fans. Although the author of It Ends with Us is back on social media, her profile currently lacks photos of stars Justin Baldoni and Blake Lively, which adds to the intrigue. Her break from social media and subsequent return amid the actors’ legal feud have left many people wondering if there’s more to the story.

Here’s a closer look at her Instagram reactivation and the events that have fuelled speculation across Hollywood and beyond.

Colleen Hoover is back on Instagram

Bestselling author Colleen Hoover has officially returned to Instagram after deactivating her account on January 22, 2025. Her sudden departure from social media came amid the escalating legal battle between Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni, the lead actors in the film adaptation of her novel, It Ends with Us. However, when Hoover reactivated her account on February 12, 2025, fans immediately noticed she had removed all photos of Lively and Baldoni from her profile.

Hoover’s return to Instagram has fueled speculation that she may have taken a side in the ongoing Lively-Baldoni controversy. The feud between the two actors began in December 2024 when Blake Lively filed a sexual harassment complaint against Justin Baldoni. She accused him of misconduct during the production of It Ends with Us. Lively also claimed that Baldoni and his production company launched a retaliatory smear campaign against her after initially agreeing to provide workplace protections. The lawsuit sent shockwaves through Hollywood, leading to intense media scrutiny.

Colleen Hoover has not explicitly commented on the removal of Baldoni and Lively’s photos from her Instagram profile. However, fans recall that she publicly supported Lively shortly after the allegations were made. On December 21, 2024, Hoover posted on her Instagram Story: “@blakelively, you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive, and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.” (via People)

Meanwhile, Baldoni has denied all allegations and has taken aggressive legal action. On December 31, 2024, Baldoni filed a $250 million defamation lawsuit against The New York Times. Later in mid-January, he also filed a $400 million lawsuit against Lively, her husband Ryan Reynolds, and her publicist, accusing them of defamation, extortion, and other claims.
