Amanda was killed by Bosse Lundh.
Officer Hanna seeks the help of Zuhra to uncover Amanada’s murder mystery. Zuhra reveals that she came to Sweden with assistance from the Missing People organization and got a job as a maid. However, the organization turns out to be a human trafficking syndicate run by Bosse Lundh. Bosse lures innocent refugees into working as cheap laborers after taking away their passports.
Zuhra was exploited by him as well but Amanda managed to figure out the truth. She storms into Bosse’s house and demanded the return of the poor people’s passports. As a result, Bosse ended up murdering Amanda and dumped her body in a cable car to avoid any connection with the case.
What happened to Johan and who killed him in The Åre Murders?
Johan Andersson was murdered by his stepson Leo in The Are Murders.
In the end, Hannah manages to discover the culprit behind Johan’s murder. Johan’s mutilated body was found near the train tracks. It is revealed that Johan’s wife Marion was in touch with her ex-husband Jens to make sure their son Leo has a normal life involving both his mother and father.
Although Johan was a good stepfather to Leo, things took a turn after he decided to leave Marion to marry Rebecka and the couple got into a heated argument. Leo was heartbroken upon seeing his mother’s condition and decided to avenge her pain. As such, he attacked Johan with a shovel resulting in his death. Further, Marion and Jens decide to save their son by dumping Johan’s corpse near the train tracks.
However, Leo feels guilty of his crime and decides to kill himself. Hannah manages to save him, but the entire family gets arrested. Later, Leo is sent to a juvenile prison while Marion and Jens are charged for covering up the murder.
