Pete Davidson’s Reformation campaign has fans talking about his tattoo removal and completely ink-free look. The comedian, known for his extensive body art, has spent years undergoing painful removal procedures to achieve a “clean slate.” With his new look on full display, many are curious about his transformation.
Here’s a look at Davidson’s tattoo removal journey, his experience, and his new image.
Pete Davidson strips down to show off his tattoo free body
Pete Davidson has unveiled his tattoo-free body in Reformation’s latest campaign, released ahead of Valentine’s Day.
The former Saturday Night Live cast member and Dog Man voice star posed in Reformation’s sustainable boxer briefs and “Official Boyfriend” sweatshirt. The campaign, shot by Angelo Pennetta and directed by Matthew Frost, presents Davidson as the ideal boyfriend.
Davidson has been undergoing tattoo removal for several years, eliminating nearly 200 tattoos from his body. On The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, he detailed the painful process, stating, “They gotta burn off a layer of your skin, and then it has to heal for, like, six to eight weeks, and you can’t get in the sunlight. And then you gotta do it, like, 12 more times.” Despite the discomfort, he confirmed, “They’re almost gone.” (via NBC)
Davidson described his tattoo choices as impulsive, telling Fallon, “I was a sad boy… You would just think of something and get it [tattooed]?” He admitted that the ink no longer represented him, leading to his decision to “clean-slate” his body, keeping only “maybe two or three” tattoos. His new look aligns with his evolving public image, as he also reflected on his past fashion choices, saying, “If you Google any picture of me from ages 20 to 27, it’s purple shirts, fedoras, all these chains, and f—king dumb Rolexes.” (via Page Six)
Davidson is also working on transforming the Staten Island Ferry he bought with SNL co-star Colin Jost in 2022. “It’s like four or five floors, and on each floor we’re going to do something interesting—a hotel up top, movie theater, an entertainment theater, shopping kiosks,” he said. “We have a really extensive plan and we are a lot closer than people think,” Davidson added.
