In his memo, Todd also mentioned that he was finding a “new home” for his Chuck Toddcast podcast. He also asked fans to “stay tuned” for an official announcement regarding its new distributor.
In his memo, Todd also stressed how the media had a long way to go in winning back the trust of viewers, readers, and listeners. He emphasized that the best way to start working towards winning that trust was from the “bottom up.” He also noted how he was an “entrepreneur at [his] core.” Todd further pointed out that the information ecosystem could be remedied with local media.

A few weeks before he confirmed his departure, it was reported that Todd was meeting with other news networks and media organizations for post-NBC work opportunities.
Todd first joined NBC News in 2007. He became the chief White House Correspondent in 2008 and assumed the anchor role of Meet the Press in 2014. He later relinquished the latter role in 2023 to Kristen Welker.
