What is Otto Octavius aka Doc Ock planning in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man?
After arming dangerous perpetrators with his creations, Doc Ock is finally busted in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 5. After his nefarious plans come to light, Otto reveals what motivated him to stoop to such low standards. A frustrated Octavius expresses that he allowed his inventions to fall into the wrong hands for recognition.
According to Otto, he possesses a similar, if not superior, intellect to that of Tony Stark, Bruce Banner, and Norman Osborn. Nevertheless, he never received the love and affection that the public showered on Iron Man and Hulk.
With revenge and a defined purpose in his mind, Otto decided to take matters into his own hands. Therefore, he intentionally created the likes of Butane, Tarantula, Speed Demon, and Unicorn to challenge Spider-Man.
Doc Ock’s confession in Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man Episode 5 indicates that he will continue to create such disturbances for the wall-crawling superhero. Moreover, it should only be a matter of time before he receives his robotic arms in the show.
Otto’s desperation to receive acknowledgment for his genius should only expedite his transformation into Doctor Octopus. As such, fans can expect Doc Ock to be a constant threat to Peter Parker in the upcoming episodes of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
