Kendrick Lamar made history at the 2025 Grammy Awards after he notched accolades across five categories for his massively popular diss track towards Drake, “Not Like Us.” The announcement of the Californian’s Grammy win sent shockwaves throughout the music world, with many industry professionals pouring in to share their thoughts about the same. However, one personality who refrained from supplying any controversial comment on the topic was Drake’s father, Dennis Graham.
Here’s what Dennis Graham had to say about Kendrick Lamar winning five Grammys for the diss track he made against his son, Drake.
What did Drake’s father say about Kendrick Lamar?
While many expected controversy to erupt after Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us” dominated proceedings at the 2025 Grammy Awards, neither the two artists nor their representatives have issued any public statement regarding their scuffle. This includes Drake’s father, who refused to weigh in on the rivalry between his son and Lamar.
While talking to renowned TikToker Joy of Everything after the conclusion of the awards ceremony, Dennis Graham stated, “I don’t care enough about that s–t. That ain’t got nothing to do with me.” He also emphasized the fact that he possesses no animosity towards the Compton native, noting, “All the best to him, man. I don’t do that bulls–t.”
The 37-year-old hip-hop icon bested many artists to win Song of the Year and Record of the Year. The song also fetched him the Best Music Video, Best Rap Song, and Best Rap Performance titles, rounding off the evening for Lamar with five wins.
Despite their rap beef, Kendrick Lamar did not mention Drake during his acceptance speeches at the 2025 Grammys. Instead, the musician gave a shout-out to his hometown of Compton, California, stating, “I can’t give enough thanks to these places that I rolled around since high school.”
