Many fans of Gold Rush have been wondering about Dozer, Parker Schnabel’s loyal Labrador, ever since he introduced a new dog, Bosco, on the show. The fate of Parker’s Dog, Dozer on Gold Rush revealed
Dozer is not present on Gold Rush as he sadly passed away in 2023. During the filming of Season 15, Parker’s parents gifted him a new dog, Bosco.
The recent episode, titled “The King’s Mistake,” features Parker introducing the audience to his new dog, Bosco. He reveals that his parents gave him this dog as a present on his birthday. His new companion immediately caught viewers’ attention, leading many to wonder what had happened to Dozer. However, Parker had already shared the heartbreaking news on Instagram in 2023, revealing that Dozer had passed away suddenly. He suspected the cause to be a heart attack or aneurysm.
He shared a few lovely memories of his dog in a carousel of images, followed by a heartbreaking message. The caption read, “Dozer passed away. He must’ve had a heart attack or aneurism (aneurysm)- so it was peaceful anyways. He always had a toy and a wagging tail and was always there when someone needed cheering up (normally me).”
Expressing his grief on losing his dog, he further wrote, “Not easy, he’s been my #1 companion for 9 years and we’ve been through a lot together.”
After grieving the loss of Dozer, Parker decided it was finally time to welcome a new companion. His parents surprised him with Bosco, a four or five-month-old pup who was already potty-trained. Per Parker, the dog is naturally good at fetching “except on the retrieval side.”
