While many were accompanied by their loved ones, Swifties were awaiting the “Anti-Hero” singer to make a red-carpet debut with Kelce at the show.

Here’s why Travis Kelce was absent from Grammy Awards
Taylor Swift turned heads as she arrived at the 2025 Grammy Awards in a red sparkling mini-dress, complimented with a red T-letter chain. While fans were in awe of her stunning ensemble, they noticed her beau Travis Kelce’s absence from her side.
According to TMZ Sports, the KC Chiefs’ tight end missed the chance to attend the award show with Swift for the second time. The reason behind his absence was shared by some sources close to the NFL star. As per their revelation, Kelce is currently with his team in New Orleans undergoing training for the Super Bowl.
The KC Chiefs managed to reign over the Buffalo Bills by a score of 32-29. This takes them to the Super Bowl for the fifth time in six years. Kelce and his team are about to face the Philadelphia Eagles on February 9, 2025. The game will take place at the Caesar’s Superdome, New Orleans.
As per Entertainment Tonight, while Travis Kelce wasn’t present at the Grammys with Taylor Swift, he did send his wishes to her. A source told the outlet, “Although Travis would have loved to be with Taylor…she feels so supported by him and knows he will be cheering her on.” In 2024, Kelce missed the Grammys as well due to his training schedule and was preparing to face the 49ers at the Super Bowl.
Kelce addressed the same while appearing on The Pat McAfee Show last year. He conveyed, “I wish I could go support Taylor at the Grammys and watch her win every single award that she’s nominated for.”
