Multiple reports have been circulating online, suggesting that Taylor Swift was distancing herself from longtime friend Blake Lively. This was after Lively allegedly involved the singer in her ongoing legal drama with Justin Baldoni in a distasteful manner. Accordingly, fans of the singer have become curious about the truth of these reports.
Here are the reports claiming Taylor Swift was stepping back from her friendship with Blake Lively, explained.
Reports claim Taylor Swift is taking a step back from Blake Lively’s case
A recent online report suggested that Taylor Swift was distancing herself from Blake Lively. This is because the singer supposedly felt she was being used as an ‘intimidation tactic’ by the Gossip Girl actress during her legal battle with Justin Baldoni.
This report came from The Daily Mail. This source claimed that Swift had been dragged into Lively and Baldoni’s legal battle at a meeting involving the two stars and Lively’s husband Ryan Reynolds. The source further alleged that Baldoni claimed Lively used Swift to intimidate him when discussing edits she made to an It Ends With Us rooftop scene.
The source then claimed that Lively, who had compared herself to Game of Thrones‘ Khaleesi (Daenerys Targaryen) in a series of text messages to Baldoni, called Swift and Reynolds her “dragons.” This had supposedly resulted in Swift temporarily distancing herself from Lively.
Moreover, the source claimed that Swift’s friends found out about Lively’s comparison of Swift to Khaleesi’s dragons and disliked it. Furthermore, the source mentioned that Swift, who planned not to be in the meeting with Baldoni, arrived at Lively’s penthouse, assuming it would be over by then. Unfortunately, she found out that the meeting continued even after her arrival.
Meanwhile, a second source claimed that Swift politely backed away from Lively and Baldoni’s legal feud. They mentioned that Swift was concerned for her own reputation. They also alleged that she disliked Lively’s distasteful mention of her in the text messages.
Ultimately, it’s unclear whether this whole situation is true. This is because Swift has not addressed, confirmed, or denied it.
