While Ruzek and Kidd are trapped in the underground train, their beaus Severide and Burgess worry about their whereabouts. Luckily, Ruzek receives a signal to communicate with Burgess. He informs her about being trapped underneath and that an offender is hiding among them, whom he chased earlier and ended up getting trapped due to the tunnel collapse.
Initially, Ruzek doesn’t disclose what he is up to, fueling Kidd’s suspicions, who later calls him out. She criticizes him for “rationing out the intel,” forcing him to give out details on the current situation. As Kidd insists, he talks about Trudy’s tragic incident, wherein she was shot and rushed to hospital. He also discloses that an offender is hiding in the train who might potentially risk everyone’s lives. However, their attention is soon diverted to a kid who requires medical assistance.
Ruzek confronts a man on the train, sporting the same attire as the offenders, and ties him up. The offender asks Ruzek to keep his gun down if he wants her safe. While Stella headbutts the offender, Ruzek wrestles him, with other team members helping him out. During the struggle, the gun fires and the offender gets killed. In the end, Archer asks Adam to seek immediate medical attention for his injured arm. Burgess joins him on the way to the hospital.
