Karoline Leavitt recently made history by becoming the youngest White House Press Secretary ever to address reporters when she delivered her first official White House press briefing on Tuesday. A longtime supporter of Donald Trump, Leavitt turned several heads due to the answers she gave to journalists. As such, the general public has expressed a heightened interest in knowing more about the youngest White House Press Secretary.
Who is Karoline Leavitt?
An alum of New Hampshire’s St. Anselm College, Karoline Leavitt has been an outspoken conservative for most of her adult life. Leavitt first set foot in the White House back in 2019, when she joined Trump’s first administration as an intern. She eventually rose to the rank of Assistant Press Secretary before serving as the Communications Director for Rep. Elise Stefanik following Trump’s defeat in the 2020 Presidential Elections. With Leavitt’s assistance, Stefanik was successfully able to unseat Liz Cheney.
Karoline Leavitt even has a congressional campaign of her own under her belt, having contested to represent New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District at the age of 23, as per The Washington Post.
During the 2024 elections, Karoline Leavitt worked with Donald Trump as his National Press Secretary, joining him at various rallies, campaign events, and even court appearances. A mother of one, Leavitt actively advocated for Trump, issuing aggressive counters to his critics, and extending the reach of his conservative ideas during the recent presidential elections.
Donald Trump also acknowledged Karoline Leavitt’s efforts in November 2024, when he named the 27-year-old official as the 36th White House Press Secretary. “Karoline is smart, tough, and has proven to be a highly effective communicator. I have the utmost confidence she will excel at the podium, and help deliver our message to the American People as we, Make America Great Again,” the 47th President of the United States noted.
