Teenage TikTok sensation Nahsiyah Turner has passed away at the age of 17. Following the confirmation of her death, fans took to social media to pay their tributes and mourn the tragic loss.

TikTok star Nahsiyah Turner died due to an injury she sustained in a shooting incident at the Los Cerritos Center shopping mall in Southern California (via PEOPLE).
The incident took place on Saturday, January 18, 2025. After the police authorities were alerted to the shooting incident at the mall, they arrived at the scene at 7:30 p.m. and found Turner in her car with a gunshot wound on her chest.
As per a medical examiner report, Turner, whose identity wasn’t confirmed at that time, was not breathing on the scene and was declared dead at the hospital. The investigation behind Nahsiyah Turner’s death is still underway.
On January 22, Lit. Steve DeJong from the homicide bureau of LA County Sheriff’s Department talked to The Griffin Gazette about the incident, saying, “Deputies from the Cerritos station responded to the parking lot of the Cerritos mall in regards to a gunshot victim call. When they got there, they observed a female juvenile, 17 years old, with a gunshot wound.” Additionally, DeJong stated, “As far as the context and investigation, I can’t elaborate. This investigation is going to go on for a while.”
Nahsiyah Turner was thriving on TikTok with her short videos and had around 220,000 followers on the popular app at the time of her death. However, followers have since gone up to more than 300,000.
