Why Players Think Deadpool Is Coming to Marvel Rivals

Fans have begun to think that Marvel Rivals‘ current cosmetic bundle subtly teases Deadpool’s alleged arrival in the coming days. Developed by NetEase Games x Marvel Games, this third-person shooter game allows players to pick their combo of comic heroes. Together, they battle threats in varied environments. With numerous playable characters already introduced, fans are eagerly waiting for Merc-with-a-mouth’s arrival. Here are details on what made fans think that Deadpool might arrive in the game.

Is Deadpool coming to Marvel Rivals?

As of now, no official reports confirm Deadpool’s arrival in Marvel Rivals.

Speculations about Deadpool being added to Marvel Rivals’ roster in the future originally emerged on Reddit. As players know, the game has introduced several cosmetics inspired by the 2024 film, Deadpool & Wolverine. One of which includes a spray, which upon use, creates a half-heart-shaped image of Wolverine, sharing a resemblance to the movie’s famous friendship locket.

The ‘Best Friend’ pendant, very well-known among fans, features a fully-formed heart that is divided into two parts, with Wolverine on one chain and Deadpool on the other. Seeing a similar appearance spraying paint in the game, many were quick to speculate that Deadpool’s arrival must be certain.

Another instance that made fans rumors solidify about Deadpool was Wolverine’s ‘I Don’t Play Nice’ Emote. This enables players to toss ‘Let’s F—ing Go’ signs through the TVA portal, allowing many to reminisce about the original duo moment from the movie. All these subtle teases have made fans believe that in the future, the beloved character might get added to the Marvel Rivals line-up. But, the game studio has yet to confirm these growing speculations.

The game is set to release in two parts. The first part introduces players to two of the Fantastic Four characters — Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman. This part has already been launched on January 10.

Another season will see the arrival of two remaining characters — The Thing and Human Torch, and also introduce a newer map, Empire of Eternal Night: Central Park, launching sometime in February. Fans can expect to see more new characters in the coming weeks.
