KT Smith, the ex-fiancée of country star Morgan Wallen, has announced on social media that she and her husband, Luke Scornavacco, have decided to part ways. The pair had been together for a few years and tied the knot in April 2024. After nine months of marriage, Smith shared the difficult news, choosing not to divulge intricate details about their private lives.
Here’s what Smith and Scornavacco had to say.
What happened to KT Smith and Luke Scornavacco?
Smith and Scornavacco have mutually decided to separate after nine months of marriage.
On January 14, the social media influencer took to Instagram Stories to reveal their separation. She acknowledged how fans had been invested in their love story, given their updates on social media during the early stages of their relationship. She explained her decision to share the news, saying:
“I wanted to give you an update… especially since we’ve both been hounded with questions. And that’s totally understandable. Luke and I have decided to separate.”
Smith noted that she would not be sharing further details about the breakup, emphasizing the importance of privacy. However, she shared that the decision was in their best interests. “We both have to do what’s best for us, as well as Indigo, while he’s still as young as he is,” she said.
The public first learned about Smith and Scornavacco’s relationship in May 2023, when the couple shared photos together on social media. Nearly a year later, they became engaged during a romantic proposal at Magnolia Farm in Eagleville, Tennessee. The engagement also included KT Smith’s son Indigo, whom she shares with her ex-fiancé, Morgan Wallen. Just a few days before Wallen’s legal troubles in April 2024, Smith and Scornavacco surprised fans by getting married.
In her final remarks, Smith clarified that there were no hard feelings between them and that no one was at fault in the decision. She explained:
“We just haven’t worked out in a while, and we both need to be the best version of ourselves.” She added that they would continue “rooting each other on from a distance” (via People).
