There has been some ongoing drama between YouTube Minecraft streamers TommyInnit and Dream recently. The two streamers have been criticizing and hurling insults at one another online. As a result, many fans of both YouTubers are curious about how this beef kicked off.

What happened to TommyInnit and Dream?
The TommyInnit vs Dream drama first started on January 11, 2025, when the latter uploaded a now-deleted meme post on X (Twitter). This meme post depicted a DreamSMP fan deciding between growing up or becoming a TommyInnit fan that the image labeled with an ableist slur.
This resulted in Dream facing immense online backlash. One commenter even suggested that Dream’s behavior implied that he will become a “right-wing grifter.”
Dream later uploaded a post on Reddit, where he called out those who pressured him into deleting his X post. Here, he also justified his earlier post about TommyInnit, saying he had his own reasons for taking an issue with the latter being like “internet police.” He also accused Tommy of lying about him, adding that he has “no backbone.” However, he stressed that he did not intend to offend any DreamSMP fan. TommyInnit eventually responded to this on X (formerly Twitter). He later uploaded a YouTube video simply titled “Dream.” Here, he called out Dream and rebuked his use of the slur. Here, TommyInnit also called out Dream for being sexist towards women and for behaving negatively toward him four years ago.
In response, Dream uploaded a video called “I’m Sorry (but not to TommyInnit)“, where he accused Tommy of spreading lies about him.
Allegedly, what sparked the drama between the Minecraft streamers originally was TommyInnit’s insults toward fellow content creators Mizkif and xQc. In an appearance on Shut Up I’m Talking with JackManifold, TommyInnit claimed that Mizkif was one of the worst people he met in 2024 and had a rude encounter with him. This led to xQc posting a response to TommyInnit on X, prompting TommyInnit to clap back to the response on the same platform.
