Netflix’s new TV and movie releases for January 13-19 2025 include Back in Action and XO, Kitty Season 2.
XO, Kitty Season 2 graces Netflix on 16th January. This series follows Kitty Song Covey (Anna Cathcart), a self-proclaimed teenage matchmaker whose confident perceptions about love are challenged when she moves across the world in an attempt to reunite with her long-distance boyfriend. Supporting cast members include Choi Min-young, Gia Kim, Sang Heon Lee, Anthony Keyvan, Peter Thurnwald, Jocelyn Shelfo, Yunjin Kim, and Ryu Han-bi.
Furthermore, January 17 will see the release of the action-comedy, Back in Action. This film serves as the comeback project for Cameron Diaz, who stars alongside Jamie Foxx. The story follows retired spies, Emily and Matt, who return to the world of espionage after their cover is blown. Seth Gordon directed this movie from a script he co-wrote with Brendan O’Brien.
Also dropping on Netflix this week is The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live Season 1. This series serves as a spin-off and sequel to the original The Walking Dead series. The story follows Michonne (Danai Gurira), who attempts to find her husband Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), after he went missing in the ninth season of the original series. Pollyanna McIntosh, Terry O’Quinn, and Lesley Ann-Brandt are also part of the cast.
