Do WWE Superstar CM Punk & Seth Rollins Really Dislike Each Other?

WWE Superstar CM Punk, who returned in 2023, had a heated back-and-forth with Seth Rollins. After a year of tension since Punk’s WWE return, the two finally clashed on the RAW Netflix premiere, where Punk triumphed over Rollins in a classic match.

Before their WWE RAW showdown last week, Seth Rollins and CM Punk expressed their frustrations, which had been building for years. The two stars took personal jabs at each other, sparking the question of whether they truly dislike one another or if it is just for show.

Seth Rollins recently appeared on the Insight with Chris Van Vliet and discussed his relationship with CM Punk. He explained that they had been friends until Punk left WWE in 2014. After Punk’s departure, Rollins reached out with texts and calls to check in, but Punk never responded and instead publicly criticized him whenever possible.

This caused problems between the two over the years, with Rollins even calling Punk a “cancer” when asked about Punk’s potential return to WWE a few years ago. Despite taking jabs at each other for so long, the two stars delivered one of the best matches in WWE Raw history.

Following a memorable rivalry over the past year, no backstage issues had been reported between them. Recently, WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray revealed that real animosity exists between the two outside of the ring.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE legend Bully Ray revealed that he reached out to a trusted source within WWE to understand the extent of the tension between Seth Rollins and CM Punk. According to the source, while both stars remain professional, their dislike for each other is genuine and ongoing.

He stated, “These two guys, although maintaining the utmost levels of professionalism, do not like each other to this day. Seth Rollins does not like CM Punk at all. Punk is a little bit more tolerable, but Punk can’t stand what Rollins has turned into. There is very, very real animosity, hatred, and dislike.”

Despite the real animosity between Rollins and Punk, the two stars have put their personal issues aside and delivered one of the best rivalries in recent years for the fans. It will be interesting to see what happens next, especially after Punk’s victory over Rollins on WWE RAW.
