The popular news anchor recently covered the deadly wildfires in Los Angeles on the ground.
During his report, David Muir was sporting a yellow fire jacket, with the network’s name engraved on it. However, what caught viewers’ attention was the clamps behind his jacket as he turned around. Oftentimes, clamps are used by production teams to tighten a loose-fitting item of clothing in windy conditions so that they do not interfere with microphones.
However, many people took to social media to voice their opinions and some suggested that he cared more about his appearance than the disaster around him.
Others bombarded the ABC News anchor with several critical comments. The anchor hasn’t addressed the backlash, as of now. It’s not the first time he has been subjected to online criticism.
