Young & Restless: Who Is Christian’s Mother?

The Young and the Restless continues to pique interest with its ongoing storyline. The recent episode showcased high-voltage drama and secrets unfolding in Genoa City. Amidst all this, curiosity is surging regarding one important character—Christian Newman, played by Alex Wilson—with fans eager to know about his mother. So, who is Christian’s mother on The Young and the Restless?

Here is everything you need to know about the speculation surrounding the young boy in the soap opera.

Who is Christian’s Mother on The Young and the Restless?

Christian’s mother is Sage Newman on The Young and the Restless.

Sage joined the show in 2014 and departed in 2016 after she died in a tragic car accident. She was the mother of Christian, who faced numerous complications even before his birth. Sage was pregnant but uncertain about the baby’s paternity despite being married to Nick Newman. She recalled a one-night stand with her former partner, Gabriel Bingham, which led to suspicions that he might be the father. When Nick learned the truth, he was furious, but the couple eventually agreed to raise the baby together.

In a shocking twist, Gabriel returned from the dead with a new identity, later revealed to be Adam Newman. Adam stood by Sage’s side during her premature delivery, but tragedy struck when they were informed that the baby had been stillborn. Soon after, Adam discovered that he was the biological father of the baby, not Nick.

Later, it was revealed that Christian was alive, and the baby who had died was Sharon’s child, not Sage’s. The doctor had hidden Sharon’s miscarriage and secretly swapped her stillborn with Christian. Sharon, unaware of the switch, raised the baby as her own, naming him Sully McAvoy. After Sage’s death, Sharon continued raising Christian as Sully, believing he was her child.

However, when the truth finally surfaced, Sharon’s husband, Dylan McAvoy, handed Christian over to Nick. This revelation triggered a custody battle between Adam and Nick. While Adam, as the biological father, believed he had the right to raise Christian, Nick argued that he was the more responsible parent. Ultimately, Nick won the custody case and continues to raise Christian to this day.
