The Inception actor was rumored to join the cast of Season 3. OSEN, a Korean media website was the first one to report the news that DiCaprio will be a part of the show with the shoot being wrapped up. The website also mentioned that his appearance would be a surprise and that he would have limited screen time. A representative from Netflix, the show’s streaming platform, quickly reached out to Soompi to clarify the situation regarding DiCaprio’s rumored involvement. The representative stated, ”The rumors are completely false. Reports of Leonardo DiCaprio’s involvement in ‘Squid Game’ Season 3 are entirely unfounded.”
To date, Netflix has only released a 16-second teaser for Squid Game Season 3.
Season 3 will reportedly be released sometime in Summer 2025.
