The estranged relationship between Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) continues to spiral out of control in General Hospital. In the latest episode, Willow takes her and Michael’s son Willey to Washington, D.C. for the swearing-in ceremony of Drew Quartermaine without consulting her estranged spouse. This prompted certain reactive actions from Michael.
What did Michael do to Willow after her DC trip in General Hospital?
As fans of General Hospital would know, Willow is having an affair with Drew, who also happens to be one of Michael’s uncles. The show predominantly takes place in the fictional town of Port Charles, New York. This means that Willow took Willey out of the state to be with her lover without informing Michael.
Naturally, it has drawn a sharp reaction from Michael. He reached out to his attorney, Diane Miller, and informed her about what Willow had done. Willow subsequently got the surprise of her life when she discovered that Michael had decided to appeal for the custody of their children: Willey and Amelia.
After Willow visits DC, Michael candidly speaks to his adoptive father Sonny, who advises him to be open and honest with his sentiments. However, this is easier said than done for Michael because he is hiding certain things about his life from his family members.
As is often a norm in soap operas, the relationship between Michael and Willow has multiple layers of complexities. Michael shares some of the blame for the gradual disintegration of his marriage with Willow. After he learns about Willow’s affair, Michael has a one-night stand with Sasha Corbin (Sofia Mattsson), a former romantic partner. In a shocking twist, Sasha later finds out that she’s pregnant with Michael’s kid (via Soap Central).
In the coming episodes, Willow and Michael’s indiscretions will likely have a longterm impact on their marriage and the lives of their children.
