Who is Mister Terrific in DC’s Superman and comics?
Mister Terrific aka Micheal Holt is a superhero who stands by Superman in his numerous adventures. He first appeared in the DC comics, The Spectre #54 in 1997 and soon became a beloved character.
Micheal Holt was an Olympic gold medalist with multiple degrees in PHD known for his intelligence. However, his life took a tragic turn with the death of his wife in a car accident. Micheal is completely shattered and further decides to become a Golden Age superhero called Mister Terrific with a motive of fair play.
He ended up finding his own company called Terrifitech, which employed Flash, and joined the Justice Society of America to fulfill his superhero goals. Micheal’s sharpness and knowledge of technical gadgets made him the brains of the group.
Further, he made his own short-lived but iconic team called Terrifics. The team included himself, Plastic Man, Metamorpho, and Phantom Girl. So, it will be exciting to see Edi Gathegi’s version of Mister Terrific on the big screens.
What are the powers and abilities of Mister Terrific?
Although Mister Terrific doesn’t really possess superpowers, his knowledge of technical devices helped him grow as a hero. His company Terrifitech creates powerful gadgets or T-Spheres that help him as vehicles, weapons, hologram projects, and spying devices.
His T-shaped mask also helps him camouflage, detect electronic devices and deeper communications. He is a martial artist efficient in combat and can easily recreate the moves of superheroes against his enemies.
Superman is slated to release on July 11, 2025.
