Travis Kelce‘s close friend and NFL free agent, Ross Travis has become the subject of considerable curiosity amongst fans, who wish to learn more about his friendship with the Kansas City Chiefs tight-end. This curiosity has been brewing for two months, ever since Travis was spotted attending Kelce’s pop star girlfriend Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour show in Miami.
Here’s all you need to know about Travis Kelce and Ross Travis’ friendship.
Exploring Travis Kelce and Ross Travis’ friendship
Ross Travis joined Kansas City Chiefs in 2015 as an undrafted free agent. He had presumably met and befriended Travis Kelce around this time. Both of them played as tight-ends. Travis was quickly released from the Chiefs practice squad but was re-signed to the team two months later.
Over the next two years, Kelce and Travis formed a strong friendship. The two were then spotted hanging out at several events together. This included a 2017 celebration of Chiefs’ AFC West title, which Kelce posted on Instagram.
The following year, they attended a 2017 Fashion Show supporting Operation Breakthrough. (via The Kansas City Star) That same year, Travis was dropped by the Chiefs. However, Travis and Kelce maintained their strong friendship.
In February 4, 2020, Ross Travis put up an Instagram post congratulating Kelce for his and the Chief’s victory against the San Francisco 49ers at the Super Bowl IV. The two were seen wearing Nike sportswear in the post.
Then three years later in February, Travis accompanied Kelce to New York City. This was because Kelce was scheduled for an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Travis shared a photo of himself and Kelce meeting Fallon on Instagram. “Keep your f*#%ing hands off my cheeseburger @jimmyfallon,” he captioned the photo.
In February 2024, Kelce and Travis traveled to Australia to attend Taylor Swift‘s Eras Tour. Several months later in October, when Kelce was preoccupied with the Chiefs game against the San Francisco 49ers, Travis attended Swift’s Eras Tour concert in Miami.
