Gracie Abrams comments on spending time with Taylor Swift
On December 17, Gracie Abrams, who is a rising star in the music scene, sat down for an interview.
Speaking to Nylon, Abrams shared the atmosphere she experienced backstage on the final day of the Eras Tour. She accompanied Taylor Swift as the opening act for approximately 49 shows and gained immense praise from Swifties, growing her fanbase. Abrams revealed to the outlet how everyone was feeling emotional. She said, “Everyone had been crying all day. It felt like the last day of school backstage.”
The singer further disclosed that everyone involved in Eras Tour’s final day “was walking around with their [Eras Tour] books, signing each other’s books. We were all walking around with Sharpies.”
Gracie Abrams also detailed how being a part of the Eras Tour and performing with Swift helped her learn and improve herself as a singer, performer, and human. She added, “I was just soaking up every moment of her show, too. I’ve basically been studying it for a year-and-a-half. Every time I’ve opened for her, I watch and learn. I learned from her every time we have a conversation about the weather, even.”
