Having tweaked his ankle, the youngster crumpled to the ground and held his right angle in visible agony. The Bulls’ medical team rushed to the spot to assist the player, who could not get on his feet.

As a result, Josh Giddey was escorted to the locker room and was ruled out of the remainder of the game with an injury shortly afterward.

When will Josh Giddey return to play for NBA?

Chicago Tribune writer Julia Poe has noted that the Bulls’ medical staff has yet to inform coach Billy Donovan of the grade or degree of Giddey’s ankle sprain.

Giddey tragically ruptured a ligament in his right ankle during Australia’s 95-90 loss to Serbia in the said competition. This ended up sidelining the up-and-coming athlete for over a month.
