What Time Does Survivor 47’s Finale Release? Two-Part Schedule Explained

As Survivor 47 draws to a close, fans are eager to find out the finale episode’s release date and time. The survival series centers around a group of individuals being sent to a remote island. There, they have to look out for their food and shelter while battling severe weather conditions, emotional and physical struggles, and wild challenges. After Episode 13’s premiere, many are wondering when will Part 2 come out.

So, here are details on Survivor 47 finale and its two-part schedule.

Survivor 47 finale Part 2’s release date and time

Survivor 47 Part 1 premiered on December 11 from 8-10 p.m. ET. Part 2 will air on December 18, Wednesday, from 8-10 p.m. ET (via Entertainment Weekly).

Survivor 47 makers have decided to divide the finale episode into two parts and have given a valid explanation for it. During an appearance on On Fire podcast, showrunner and host Jeff Probst revealed why they opted for a two-part format this season. The show’s network, CBS, approached them, requesting to do 14 episodes instead of the usual 13. This happened “months before” they filmed the current season.

“They had some things they wanted to try in their schedule, and part of that working out would depend on whether or not we could do 14 episodes,” he added. Nonetheless, he and executive producer Matt Van Wagenen discussed and agreed to CBS’s request. They decided to take the finale episode and break it down into two while planning ways to make it succeed.

Survivor 47’s Part 1 featured a total of six contestants competing for the prize money of $1 million. In the initial part, they were put through multiple rounds — two immunity challenges and two tribal councils. The very first challenge saw the contestants going under the water and solving a puzzle. Genevieve Mushaluk was declared the winner of the first challenge.

The second round featured contestants hopping on a springboard while navigating obstacles and balancing balls on top of each other. In the two elimination ceremonies (tribal council), Genevieve Mushaluk and Andy Rueda went home. The last episode will involve contestants Rachel LaMont, Sam Phalen, Sue Smey, and Teeny Chirichillo.
