Michael Cole passes away at 84, claims report

On December 10, 2024, Micheal Cole passed away at the age of 84. As per publicis Rachel Harrris, Cole took his last breath at the Providence Cedars-Sinai Tarzana Medical Center, California. However, the reason behind Cole’s death was not revealed (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Born on July 3, 1940, Cole hailed from Madison, Wisconsin. He made his acting debut in 1966 in a show called Gunsmoke. This was followed by appearances in the sci-fi flick The Bubble and the Western drama film Chuka. He rose to fame with the role of Pete Cochran in the crime drama series, The Mod Squad.

The show follows the lives of three eccentric characters, Pete, Lincoln, and Julie. Colr’s character Pete is a man from a wealthy background who becomes a criminal following his eviction from his home. The show ran for four and half years with Cole receiving positive reviews for his performance.

Besides The Mod Squad, Cole is known for his performances in shows like General Hospital, It, Murder, She Wrote; The Eddie Capra Mysteries, and various others. His film credits include The Bubble, Chuka, The Last Child (TV movie), Beg, Borrow or Steal, to name a few. Cole has also made guest appearances in shows like CHiPs, The Love Boat? and Wonder Woman.

Cole is survived by his wife Shelley Funes and his kids.
