Is the Arya Stark: West of the World Game of Thrones spin-off real or fake?

Arya Stark: The West of the World Game of Thrones spin-off series is fake and a fan-made creation.

A recent Facebook post gained a lot of attention for a new Game of Thrones spin-off called West of the World. The eye-catching poster features Arya Stark leading her army. It even claims that the show will premiere in May 2025 on HBO and Max.

However, it turns out that this poster is simply a fan-made creation. The project hasn’t been officially approved and is not in production. Right now, there’s still no update on GOT launching any spin-offs. Only the one that is proceeding is House of Dragons’s Season 3.

Will Maisie Williams return for an Arya Stark spin-off?

Currently, there’s no confirmation about an Arya Stark spin-off being developed. However, Maisie has expressed her interest in being involved in any future projects of that nature. During an interview with StyleCaster, she was asked whether she would return to her character of Arya and work for any spin-off to which she replied, “Absolutely. It’s such a rich universe. One day I would love to.”

For now, the only information available is the renewal of House of Dragons Season 3, reportedly set to start production in 2025. However, when it comes to any direct spin-off series related to the Game of Thrones saga, the story seems far from being finished on screen.

Viewers are also focused on the upcoming movie set in this universe. HBO’s CEO Casey Bloys confirmed its development in November 2024, as reported by Entertainment Weekly.
