MrBeast talks about running for President in Theo Von podcast
MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, appeared on comedian Theo Von’s podcast, This Past Weekend, where he shared his thoughts on entering the political arena. He expressed his intention to run for the presidency, saying, “It would probably be when I’m like 50 or 60 because I would need to accomplish everything I want in business… do something at the local level… work my way up.”
This isn’t the first time MrBeast has voiced his interest in the presidency. In July 2024, he surprised his followers on X (formerly Twitter) by writing, “If we lower the age to run for president I’ll jump in the race.” The YouTuber further made another tweet in which he highlighted how he would carry out his activities if he became the US President.
MrBeast asserted that as the US president, he “wouldn’t care about party lines, I’d just always truly make the American people my #1 priority.” The YouTuber further added that he would hire experts to help him in decision-making if he encounters problems he cannot tackle alone.
He also stated that as the President his focus will be majorly on “uniting the country instead of dividing it.”
“Anyways, we can pick this up in 15 years when I’m old enough to run haha,” he added.
