Matt Rife shuts down plastic surgery theories

Matt Rife is setting the record straight on the plastic surgery rumors that have surrounded his changing appearance. In his recently released memoir, Your Mom’s Gonna Love Me, the comedian explains that the transformation in his looks was simply the result of late puberty rather than any surgical procedure. Rife describes how his face became wider and his features more defined over time. He wrote, “Over a few months, I went from looking like a 13-year-old to looking like, you know, my actual age. Like an actual grown-ish man. My face got wider, my features became more prominent, I grew a few inches taller.”

The rumors about his appearance, especially his jawline, have sparked widespread speculation. In response, Rife took aim at doctors and experts who speculated about his looks online without ever treating him. He criticized them for their “lack of common sense” and even humorously questioned how these professionals could offer diagnoses from a distance.

Rife also shared his thoughts on how his looks have impacted his career. He also claims that his attractiveness has been a challenge in comedy. Rife wrote, “As a comic, you’re supposed to make the audience like you, right? Well, who the f–k likes attractive people? No one!”

Along with discussing his past, Rife unveiled a new look. He debuted blonde hair and facial hair as part of the announcement for his upcoming 2025 Stay Golden Tour.
