The unusual incident occurred during Saturday’s fourth annual Juice WRLD Day at Chicago’s United Center. At the tribute concert, Blunts, among other rappers, performed to honor Juice WRLD, who tragically passed away in 2019.

Fans were particularly surprised when Dave Blunts came on stage with an oxygen tank. He then asked the audience if they had any problem with him singing while sitting. The concert-goers responded with a no, following which Blunts sat on a sofa on the stage. The 23-year-old rapper then commenced rapping, miming the ongoing track on certain occasions.

Blunts’ performance has since stirred the internet, with users expressing their worry for the rapper’s health. He reportedly weighs over 500 pounds and struggles with several medical issues. During the concert, he addressed people’s criticism of his weight, targeting fellow rapper Snoop Dogg in the process.

The Riders on the Storm singer had previously made fun of Blunts in an Instagram post. Responding to Snoop Dogg, the rapper remarked, “Snoop, you think you funny? You don’t know what it’s like to fight for your life every damn day.” Dave Blunts later acknowledged his situation and referred to his usage of the oxygen tank by saying, “I got demons and a tank to prove it.”
