YouTuber Johnny Somali has been in the news recently after he was reportedly knocked out by fellow streamer Dalgeun Yu. Somali, or Ramsey Khalid Ismael, is known to often get involved in controversies. Fans are now wondering what exactly happened to him?
Here’s everything you need to know regarding the debacle surrounding Somali and Korean YouTuber Dalgeun Yu.

Yu appears to have effectively knocked out Johnny Somali in public. As such, the former was taken into custody and handed over to prosecutors on the charges of assault. Dalgeun Yu’s attack was reportedly initiated due to Somali’s earlier actions where he allegedly disrespected the Statue of Peace.
The monument holds extreme historical value for Korean citizens as it honors the victims of sexual slavery during World War II. Yu seemingly took offense at Somali’s antics at the heritage site, resulting in him allegedly knocking the controversial YouTuber out.
Since the incident, Dalgeun Yu, who previously served in South Korea’s Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) and SEALs, has been charged with a legal warrant. He was officially transferred to the Seoul Eastern District Prosecutors’ Office on November 28 for further action.
Despite his arrest, Yu has maintained the stance that he only acted to safeguard the dignity of his nation. The army veteran-turned-streamer also pleaded for public donations to take care of his legal charges (via Dexerto).
On the other hand, Somali himself is facing multiple charges, including obstruction of business and violation of anti-terrorism laws. The online personality has a history of provoking disruptions in foreign lands, having created controversies in countries like Japan, Israel, and South Korea. Consequently, Somali is also expected to face jail time for his actions.
