iOS 18.2 is expected to launch this December and is poised to bring a lot of new features to users’ iPhones. Naturally, people are wondering what all features Apple has included or will include in the new iPhone update.
So, here’s all you need to know about the iOS 18.2 beta and what all are expected to be included in the final version.
List of iOS 18.2 features
The following features have been added to iOS 18.2:
- Mail application: The profile icons for businesses are rounded off square, while icons for people are circular. This not only makes mail management more distinct but also simple and efficient. Icons can now be disabled in the application. To do this, users must follow the steps outlined below:
- Open “Settings.”
- Go to the “Apps” section.
- Go to “Mail.”
- Scroll down to Message Lists.
- You will see Show Contact Photos toggled on by default, simply toggle it off if you don’t wish to see the profile icons in the Mail app.
- ChatGPT has now been integrated into the Messages app. Now users can simply ask ChatGPT to make images for them by providing the necessary details and instructions. However, this feature seems to be broken and not properly working in iOS 18.2 Beta 4, according to notable Apple device reviewer Brandon Butch.
- New wallpapers have been added to Safari browser. Additionally, in “Settings,” users can go to Safari in the “Apps” section, scroll down to Privacy & Security and toggle on or off “Not Secure Connection Warning.” This feature will warn users if they are accessing or about to access an insecure website.
- The Music app now has a more streamlined organization of multi-disc albums, allowing for easier browsing and navigation.
- Image Playground Feature: Users can now create photos using AI, although there is a built-in limited functionality to avoid overuse.
Additional features for iOS 18.2 include optimal updates to performance and battery life, ensuring an overall smooth experience.
