Similarly, another box office giant of this year, Deadpool & Wolverine, remained available for screening for four months. Judging by this trend, Moana 2 could also stay in theaters for four months and leave in March. The movie premiered on November 29, 2024. Thus, fans can enjoy it in the theatres for at least four months, if not more. It could stay till the end of March 2025 if it becomes another box office success from Pixar.
When will Moana 2 begin streaming on Disney+?
Disney has not announced a streaming release date for Moana 2 yet. However, based on past trends, we can assume that it may arrive on Disney Plus in February or March 2025.
Several reports have suggested that Moana 2 might be available from streaming three months after its theatrical debut, similar to recent Pixar hits. The 2024 blockbuster Inside Out 2 landed on Disney Plus over three months after its theatrical debut. Similarly, Wish premiered in November 2023, and it took three months to arrive on Disney Plus in April 2024. Hence, we can assume that Moana 2 will also follow suit and become available for streaming sometime at the end of February 2025 or the beginning of March 2025. However, an official confirmation from the heads is still pending.
