Viewers are curious to know what was in the trunk in Netflix’s latest K-drama series The Trunk. The series features an NM employee, Noh In-ji, getting into a one-year fake contract marriage with a music producer, Han Jeong-won. However, their lives face terrifying challenges when they bump into a mysterious trunk, which leads to an intriguing murder case. With the story revolving around the box, many have become curious to know its inside contents. So, here are the details.
What was found in the Trunk on Netflix?
The original trunk of Seo-yeon contained clothes and some toys that she purchased in preparation for the arrival of her unborn child.
The finale of Netflix‘s series adds a layer of mystery and complications to the murder case by featuring two trunks, which looked similar but contained different things. Both trunks belonged to two different individuals. The first one was originally possessed by Seo-Yeon, as she used to keep her unborn child’s accessories in it. However, the trunk eventually ended up with her husband, Jeong-won, after their divorce.
The other trunk likely belonged to In-ji. Meanwhile, Tae-Seong is on a mission to expose the fake marriage of In-ji and Jeong-won, orchestrated by a new marriage company. He gets into their room to get the trunk, which he believes consists of their fake marriage contract and the company’s manual. Unbeknownst to him, he picks the wrong box.
He takes away the trunk that belongs to Seo-Yeon. He tries to open it up but fails to do so. So, he hatches another plan. He summons In-ji and takes her to a nearby lake and threatens her to open it. In-ji, who has now developed feelings for her fake husband, is warned that if she doesn’t open it, her beau’s life will be put at stake.
Despite multiple attempts, she is unable to open it, confirming that it’s not her trunk. Nevertheless, by the end of the show, the detective eventually asks Seo-yeon about the trunk’s contents, and the truth about it having nothing dangerous is revealed.
