The recent photos of Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards were posted on X (formerly Twitter) by a fan account named Pedro Pascal Daily. While Pascal was seen signing some autographs for fans in the photos, keen-eyed viewers couldn’t help but notice the grey streak of hair above his ear. This hairstyle is similar to what Reed Richards sports in the comics, thus making fans of the characters’ classic look extremely excited. Another X user shared a collage of images of Pascal and Richards side-by-side to show the resemblance.

Since filming for The Fantastic Four: First Steps commenced, photos from the film’s set have been dropping on the internet, increasing hype around the project. While talking about the movie at the SDCC, where the whole cast assembled for the first time, Pascal said, “We’re really really stepping into, I think, the essence of what this comic is.” The actor also shared a behind-the-scenes image of the cast in July on Instagram and wrote, “Our first mission,” in the caption.

Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four: First Steps is slated to release on July 25, next year. As reported by SuperHeroHype before, the movie’s official synopsis that was released recently read, “Set against the vibrant backdrop of a 1960s-inspired, retro-futuristic world, The Fantastic Four: First Steps introduces Marvel’s First Family—Reed Richards/Mister Fantastic, Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Johnny Storm/Human Torch, and Ben Grimm/The Thing as they face their most daunting challenge yet.”
