Since Ian Ward (Ray Wise) and Jordan (Colleen Zenk) have been reintroduced in The Young and the Restless, they have unleashed havoc on the residents of Genoa City. The viewers discovered in a recent episode that Ian and Jordan are not only behind the death of a major character but also have already set their eyes on another individual.

Following Ian and Jordan’s reappearance in The Young and the Restless, the viewers began to suspect that they killed Heather Stevens (Vail Bloom). Recently, Ian confirmed this. Moreover, it was also disclosed that they had selected Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) as their next target.
It seems that the antagonistic pair intends to alienate Sharon from those close to her and get her incarcerated. In one of the episodes, it is heavily implied that Jordan orchestrated the car crash that left Phyllis Summers Newman comatose and Sharon guilt-ridden.
In a new interview with Soap Opera Digest, The Young and the Restless executive producer Josh Griffith discussed these latest plot developments and teased what was in store for the viewers. “It’s been fun. We always knew going in that there was going to be another killer. Sharon was not going to be a murderer,” he explained. “That’s why we very carefully laid it out so that we did not see the actual murder and we had her wake up and find Heather’s body.”
Griffith also hinted that Ian wishes to target the entire Newman clan, not just Sharon. “I knew that it needed to be somebody who not only we could come up with motive for the killing, but that also the reveal would be massive,” Griffith stated. “It wouldn’t just be, ‘Oh, who’s that?’ And I started looking into, historically, who had a beef with the Newmans. And we landed on Ian Ward.”
Accordingly, as this part of the narrative continues to unfold in the coming episode, Ian is unlikely to stop with Sharon and will probably go after other members of the Newman family.
