Kaley Cuoco shares why she rehomed her dog
Kaley Cuoco recently posted an emotional video on Instagram, where she discussed her and dog Shirley’s rehoming and untimely demise.
She began her video by highlighting the importance of being honest while clarifying the reason why she rehomed her dog. She acknowledged the many questions she had received about Shirley’s absence from her social media feed.
She explained, “Long story short, she’s a very special dog to me, as you all know. And when the love of my life came into my life, Tom, who is also a mega dog lover, moved across the country with his beautiful German Shepherd, Blue.”
She elaborated that unfortunately Shirley and Blue used to get into “massive fights,” which led to her rehoming her. The situation got so out of hand for the actress, that her dog was even “determined to kill” her beau’s dog. Following this, The Big Bang Theory actress became very concerned about any individual getting hurt amidst their fights. Therefore, she took the hard decision to send Shirley to caretaker Tony and his wife Angie.
Unfortunately, she revealed that Shirley passed away at 14 years old due to an “aggressive bone cancer.” Despite knowing that individuals will get her wrong for rehoming Shirley, Kaley Cuoco, and her husband found it to be the right decision.
