Coleen Rooney, a media personality and wife of English soccer manager and retired player Wayne Rooney, is one of the participants in the ongoing season of I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! She revealed in the latest episode of the show that she and her husband met President-elect Donald Trump during his previous term in office.

Coleen Rooney spoke about her encounter with Donald Trump on the Sunday, November 24, 2024, episode of I’m a Celeb… She is one of the contestants in Season 24 of the show alongside 11 others, including Coronation Street actor Alan Halsall, McFly lead vocalist Danny Jones, and N-Dubz’s Tulisa.
While speaking to her fellow participants, Rooney detailed her and her family’s visit to the White House and meeting Trump. “When we lived in America, we were invited to the White House for Christmas, and we went in to meet Donald Trump,” she recalled. “And we walked in and we got to get the official photograph taken in front of the Christmas tree.” (via The Independent).
Rooney continued, “So Donald Trump said to his son, ‘See? Told ya, all the soccer players get the good looking girls.’ And I told my mum, I was like ‘dirty b******’.”
According to Rooney, Trump wanted her husband to be Barron’s soccer coach. When Jones enquired whether Trump was “that orange” Rooney responded, “He was very orange!”
Like her husband, Rooney is from Liverpool. The couple met while they were attending secondary school. They were in a relationship for about six years before tying the knot on June 12, 2008. They have four sons together: Kai Wayne (born in 2009), Klay Anthony (born in 2013), Kit Joseph (born in 2016), and Cass Mac (born in 2018).
Coleen Rooney has authored several books, including her autobiography Welcome to My World. Between the late 2010s and early 2020s, Rooney was involved in the infamous Wagatha Christie dispute with Rebekah Vardy, fellow media personality and wife of soccer player Jamie Vardy.
