The podcast hosts then asked the Interstellar actor about the ingredients used to prepare the tuna salad. “It’s a long list of all kinds of things,” he replied.
McConaughey then explained the process. It all started with the base, which is a “good tuna.” He then mentioned that you had to check how much vinegar and lemon were being added. After that, he tried to explain what would happen if someone added mayo, mixed with wasabi, and Italian dressing, only to be interrupted.
McConaughey then mentioned the following ingredients to complete the making of the salad which were:
- Chopped red onions/dill pickle gherkin
- Crispy jalapeno chips
- Apple for some sweetness
- A touch of agave
- Corn
- Frozen green peas
McConaughey later said that it was better if it was made, covered, and put in the refrigerator after being made and that it could be eaten the following day.
