IShowSpeed has claimed he can beat fellow YouTuber and professional boxer Jake Paul in a fight. The claims come after Paul recently emerged victorious in a duel against legendary boxer Mike Tyson. The two went face-to-face for eight rounds and the fight was live-streamed on Netflix. Paul, who is 27, was declared the victor by a unanimous vote over the 58-year-old former boxer. Following the statement made by Speed, fans have been anticipating an IShowSpeed vs Jake Paul soon.
What happened between IShowSpeed and Jake Paul?
IShowSpeed was a part of the ComplexCon, which was held two days after Jake Paul’s match with Mike Tyson.
According to a report by Complex, while IShowSpeed was expressing his thoughts on Paul’s way of fighting, he said, “I feel like I can beat Jake Paul in a fight. Look, I respect his work ethic, but when I watch him box, he doesn’t look fluent. I feel like I could really get him. When you watch it, you see flaws in his game.”
IShowSpeed further added that he just requires six months of training to beat Jake Paul in a fight. “If I have six months of training, I’m beating any monster in this world. I think I’m knocking him out. In, like, the fifth or sixth round,” he stated.
Following these comments made by Speed, he was called out by Paul’s manager Nakisa Bidarian. He commented on an Instagram post by The Bread Batch FM, “Tell him I have $10 million for him right now. Sign this week. If he beats Jake he gets a $10 million bonus. Put your signature where you clout is.”
Additionally, even Jake Paul addressed this possible fight challenge by IShowSpeed and Bidarian’s response. He commented under another Instagram post, “Speed knows better. My guy was playing for sure.”
It is still not clear whether an IShowSpeed vs Jake Paul will actually happen, but this back-and-forth between the two YouTubers has stirred discussions among their fans.
