Recently, rumors began circulating that internet personality, YouTuber, and reporter Nina-Marie Daniele, aka Nina Drama, was fired by UFC. As such, fans want to know whether there is any truth to these rumors.
Did Nina Drama get fired by UFC?
No, the UFC did not fire Nina Drama.
Marie Daniele shot down the rumors and confirmed she was not fired through her Instagram stories. “I guess the UFC didn’t fire me LOL,” she wrote. “Thank you @danawhite @ufc.” (via Sportskeeda)
The rumors about Nina Drama’s firing first propped up on the internet following an argument between Drama and fellow YouTuber The MMA Guru. In October, The MMA Guru took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his disappointment at the cameraman who was recording journalist Amy Kaplan at the UFC 307 press conference, claiming he was only focusing on Kaplan’s figure.
Angered by The MMA Guru’s comments on Kaplan, which seemed to fat-shame Kaplan, Nina Drama wrote a lengthy post on social media. She called him a “clout chasing vermin” and claimed that he could not keep her name out of his mouth. Drama added that she had to “speak up” for Kaplan. She also admitted that while she may not be liked by everyone, and that she may be “cringe” and “annoying”, she was not an “indecent human.”
Drama further called him a “rude, vile, ignorant, dusty, pathetic troll.” “Trust me, everyone at the UFC knows who you are because of all the rumors and lies you’ve spread for clicks and views,” she stated. Drama concluded by saying The MMA Guru owed Amy Kaplan “an apology” and that he should also apologize to himself for “turning out less than human.”
In response to this, The MMA Guru uploaded a 40-minute video on YouTube where he bashed Nina Drama and called out her hypocrisy, her usage of her looks to get more views, and how she laughed when Strickland made jokes about people who are obese.
