Sabrina Carpenter recently jokingly “arrested” musician and record producer Jack Antonoff and his wife, actress Margaret Qualley, during the final show of the U.S. leg of her Short n’ Sweet tour. Fans have become intrigued by this and wish to know more about what happened at the concert.
Here are all the details.
Why did Sabrina Carpenter arrest Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley?
Sabrina Carpenter “arrested“ Jack Antonoff and Margaret Qualley for being charming and attractive.
Before she performed her song “Juno,” Carpenter looked toward Antonoff and asked, “Who’s this gorgeous brunette here?” This was followed by fans screaming. However, Antonoff looked visibly uncomfortable when the cameras pointed toward him, even struggling to smile as he waved his hand. Antonoff also tried to say something but ultimately did not.
When Carpenter later suggested he could bring someone “hotter” than him, Antonoff walked to the side and brought in Margaret Qualley. This elicited even more screams from fans as Qualley looked at the cameras and laughed and giggled. Qualley then asked Sabrina if she was the “hotter” person being referred to, with Carpenter confirming it.
Carpenter then told the audience that Qualley was a “hottie with substance.” This was a fun nod to the actress’ recent project, The Substance, where she co-starred alongside Demi Moore. Qualley then giggled and performed a kissing gesture, expressing her love for fans. Qualley was then asked her name by Carpenter, which she answered.
Carpenter adopted a tradition of “arresting” people during her Short n’ Sweet tour before she performed the song “Juno.” She has typically done this with ordinary audience members or fans but also with celebrities.
Previous celebrities who were “arrested” by Carpenter include actresses Millie Bobby Brown and Rachel Sennott, as well as Saturday Night Live‘s Marcello Hernandez.
