Superman & Lois Season 4: What Has Happened to Clark’s Powers?

Superman & Lois Season 4 recently dropped its eighth episode. The drama series resumes the adventures of the beloved superhero and his wife Lois Lane. While the show is an engaging experience, fans are worried about Clark Kent losing his powers. So, are Superman’s powers really fading away and will he eventually lose them in Superman Lois Season 4?

Here is everything you need to know about Kent’s future as the iconic character in the series.

Why Superman’s powers are fading in Superman & Lois Season 4?

Superman’s powers are affected due to a heart transplant.

As fans are aware, Superman was critically injured following a battle with Doomsday. His heart was ripped from his chest and he decided to fly back to Earth. Further, Clark’s son Jordan decides to retrieve his heart to save his father. However, Lex Luthor, played by Michael Cudlitz, ends up trapping him and destroys the heart.

Clark was lifeless without a heart but a twist in the tale comes in the form of Sam Lane. He requests for his heart to be transplanted into Clark’s body using the serum made from the latter’s blood. Finally, Clark is revived but his problems do not come to an end. He is taking time to heal and his new heart of a 60-year-old isn’t that supportive.

During a training session with Jonathan, Clark crashes into ice and realizes his heart is unable to take any strain. Further, John Henry Irons observes his heart scans and realizes the early signs of heart disease. While Clark is skeptical about returning to his superhero life, Irons reveals that his powers are slowly fading away.

Will Clark lose his powers in Superman & Lois Season 4?

Clark is likely to lose his powers in the series.

As mentioned above, Clark Kent failed to recover like earlier after fighting Doomsday. He underwent a heart transplant but his recovery is taking time and the arteries in his ears are narrower from injuries. On the other hand, he easily gets tired and spends most of the time training his sons. In the recent episode, Clark also mentions his human heart will give out someday, and the boys will need to replace him.

There are limitations of a human heart after his transplant, with his health worsening with time. So, a time is expected to come when Clark won’t be Superman anymore. Nevertheless, viewers need to catch the upcoming episode to unfold Clark’s future as a superhero.
