The soon-to-be officiated 47th President of the United States, Donald Trump, recently graced the UFC 309 with his presence alongside multiple other personalities. He attended the fight between Stipe Miocic and reigning UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones, which ultimately ended in the latter’s stunning victory. The Republican was also accompanied by a hoard of his cabinet ministers and other sympathizers like Elon Musk.

The event, held at Maddison Square Garden, welcomed Donald Trump to loud cheers. Joining Trump were his cabinet ministers Robert F Kennedy Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard, as well as entrepreneurs Vivek Ramaswamy and Elon Musk. Notably, Trump recently announced Musk and Ramaswamy as the two co-leads of his newly developed Department of Government Efficiency.

Before the fight started, Trump exchanged pleasantries with UFC announcer Joe Rogan, who had previously endorsed the politician during his presidential run. He then waved to the crowd, who enthusiastically chanted “USA” upon his entrance, as per BBC. After feasting his eyes on a celebratory tribute by UFC regarding his recent victory over Kamala Harris, Trump took to his seat between Musk and UFC President Dana White.

The fight ultimately went Jones’ way, who emerged victorious via knockout in the third round. After successfully defending his heavyweight title, Jones approached Trump and commemorated the win by handing him his championship belt. The UFC veteran then publically thanked the president-elect, stating, “I want to say a big thank you to President Donald Trump for being here tonight” after the event.

Trump completed a historic victory over his Democrat rival, Kamala Harris, earlier this month, winning the 2024 US Presidential Elections by a landslide margin. As such, the Republican candidate will officially take office on January 20, 2025.
