Deadpool & Wolverine featured the return of not only the titular characters but also several other mutants fans had seen in past X-Men films like Juggernaut and Azazel. However, what many may not know is that several of these mutants had their actors recast. So, who played Juggernaut, and who played Azazel?

Deadpool & Wolverine’s cast includes the following recast mutants:
- Juggernaut: He is played by Aaron Reed in the film and has a noticeably normal physique unlike previous depictions, which depict him as a brutish giant. In past X-Men movies, two actors assumed the role. Vinnie Jones played the character in X-Men: The Last Stand, while both David Leitch and Ryan Reynolds portrayed the role in Deadpool 2.
- Azazel: He is played by stunt performer Eduardo Gago Munoz. In X-Men: First Class, Jason Flemyng played the character.
- Psylocke: Stunt performer Ayesha Hussain played the character. In previous X-Men films, Mei Melancon played the character in X-Men: The Last Stand, while Olivia Munn portrayed her in X-Men: Apocalypse.
- Lady Deathstrike: Stuntwoman Jade Lye played the character in the movie. Kelly Hu had previously played the character in X2: X-Men United.
- Blob: Mike Waters played him in the movie. He was previously played by Kevin Durand in X-Men Origins: Wolverine, and Giant Gustav and Claude Ouimet in X-Men: Apocalypse.
- Callisto: Played by Chloe Kibble in the film. The character was previously portrayed by Dania Ramirez in X-Men: The Last Stand.
- Quill: Stuntwoman Nilly Cetin portrayed the character. Ken Leung donned the role of Quill in X-Men: The Last Stand.
- Toad: Played by Dany Ramos in the film. Ray Park previously played the character in 2000’s X-Men, while Evan Jonigkeit played him in X-Men: Days of Future Past.
- Bullseye: Although not a mutant, Bullseye is one of the recast characters for the film, with Curtis Small playing him. Colin Farrell previously played him in 2003’s Daredevil, while Wilson Bethel assumed the role in the Netflix series.
- Gambit: This was a major recast. Channing Tatum played him in the movie. Taylor Kitsch had previously portrayed him in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
