The 2024 psychological horror game Mouthwashing is the latest sensation in the gaming community. Fans have been raving about this narrative-focused game ever, lauding its storytelling and character building. The game follows the crew members of the freighter spaceship Tulpar, who have become stranded in space after the ship suffers a mysterious crash. The only supply they have to survive off are the mouthwash found in the shipment. Like many horror games, Mouthwashing too features some gruesome deaths, the most talked about one being Swansea’s killing of Daisuke.
Without further ado, here is everything you need to know about why Swansea kills Daisuke in Mouthwashing.
Why Daisuke gets killed by Swansea in the Mouthwashing game?
Swansea is forced to euthanize Daisuke due to his fatal injuries.
Daisuke starts off as an innocent intern aboard the doomed Tulpar space frigate, and quickly becomes a beloved character in the game. However, a series of terrible events ultimately lead him to his tragic demise. Soon after Daisuke’s introduction, the ship’s mechanic, Swansea, finds himself becoming protective of the young rookie. This makes his final moments even more heartbreaking.
It all begins after the fateful crash, when the ship’s medic Anya locks herself in the medical bay along with captain Curly. Jimmy turns to the innocent Daisuke and coerces him to crawl through a busted vent in order to reach the two. However, the young intern ends up getting seriously injured during the journey.
Moreover, the injuries Daisuke sustains from the jagged metal pieces in the damaged vent are too deep to treat. Without proper medical procedures, his wounds become infected, to the point where it turns lethal. Swansea does try his best to keep Daisuke alive but it was of no use. Thus, he decides to put him out of his misery and kills him with a fire axe.
In the end, Swansea, who had always wanted to protect the young intern, was ultimately the one who made the killing blow. Quite evidently, Daisuke’s death is one of the most traumatizing events to get through for the players.
