Arcane Season 2, whose first act recently hit Netflix, introduced viewers to Kid Jinx, a young kid who becomes Jinx’s companion after she saves their life. Accordingly, fans are wondering who this new character is.
Here is what we know about Isha, aka Kid Jinx, and her relationship with Jinx in Arcane Season 2.
Who is Isha, the kid that follows Jinx in Arcane Season 2?
Kid Jinx (aka Isha, as named in the credits) is an orphan from Zaun. They first appear in Episode 2, meeting Jinx after she saves their life from Chem-baron Chross’ men who had been pursuing them. Kid Jinx then stays with Jinx and becomes very loyal to her, following her and saving her life from Chem-baron Smeech. In Episode 3, they also save Jinx’s life from Vi and Caitlyn, after the former had set up an ambush for the latter two, and they retaliated.
As of this writing, much of Isha, aka Kid Jinx’s background is unknown, other than the fact that they sport a mining helmet and goggles.
However, the character will no doubt play a very important role in the coming episodes, and has seemingly started doing so. Isha’s attempts to save Jinx’s life caused a rift between close allies and romantic interests, Vi and Caitlyn, who argued about letting them live, with Vi wishing to spare their life, and Caitlyn eager to finish them off. This subsequently led to Caitlyn and Vi splitting, and fueled the former’s hatred for Zaun.
Isha appears in Eason Chan’s music video “Isha’s Song,” which teases some parallels between Isha and Jinx in their stories and suggests that they are very similar. As such, it’s possible that Jinx would eventually adopt a mentor or mother/older sister figure role to Isha, which could help the former abandon her villainous nature and become more compassionate.
