Chicago Fire recently returned with its thirteenth season. The drama series continues to focus on the lives of various people at the Chicago Firehouse 51. Viewers are now concerned about the fate of Sam Carver, played by Jake Lockett. So, what happened to Carver and is he leaving Chicago Fire?
Here is everything you need to know about the character.
Is Jake Lockett’s Carver leaving Chicago Fire?
No, Jake Lockett’s Carver is not leaving Chicago Fire.
However, Carver is having a rough time following his breakup with Violet Mikami. Further, he reunites with his ex-girlfriend Tori which has turned things upside down for him. In the ongoing season, Carver is not able to focus on his work and has even distanced himself from his friends and colleagues. To make things worse, he’s now started drinking on duty.
While Violet tried to motivate Carver, Tori has managed to keep him away from his friends. Carver’s drinking habit has taken a toll on his professional life as he failed to answer a call from Stella Kid. He is caught taking a nap in the sleeping quarters while Kid is in trouble with her new chief due to his laziness. Carver’s nap time leads to the team messing up an important mission with Truck 81 under a microscope.
Things continue to go downhill with Carver forgetting to bring his firefighting gear. As a result, he calls up Tori to get his equipment as he does not want any complaints after sleeping through the bell. Further, Darren Ritter points out that Carver did not change his level at his SCBA tank following the last call.
However, Carver refuses to accept his mistake and starts acting hostile towards Darren. Carver feels guilty about what he said, but things soon take a turn as Kidd overhears their conversation. As a result, Kidd asks Carver to go home and return once he sorts himself out. So, for now, Jacke Lockett is not leaving the show and Sam Carver is expected to return to Firehouse 51 soon.
