She collapsed and was taken back to the hospital. Despite putting in multiple efforts to bring her back to life, she wasn’t able to survive and was deemed dead. It was later revealed that she suffered a mysterious heart attack.

However, she debunked the claim and revealed that after Billy Miller was let go, her character’s storyline halted. She further explained, “Stripping Sam of every characteristic she had. Something I worked for decades to build… Slowly dismantling her into a character that I did not recognize, let alone the audience. Call it what you will… retaliation at it finest.
